The last few years in the Real Estate market have been unpredictable to say the least!  What we have experienced locally, in the Frontenacs have been incredible property price increases, higher demand for waterfront properties as well as rural acreage and homes.  Many years ago, Lake District Realty predicted that it wouldn’t be long until Toronto buyers discover the beautiful lakes located in Frontenac.  The last few years have proven that they have found us and appreciate the many amazing lakes, beautiful scenery, great businesses and people that Frontenac County has to offer.  Although the market has calmed since the buying frenzy of 2021 and beginning of 2022 there are still buyers looking for their perfect piece of paradise.

The end of 2022 saw an increase in mortgage rates that slowed the buyers market. Locally, we are noticing that there are Buyers that are actively searching for their dream waterfront home or cottage.  Buyers that may have been priced out of the market, or became tired of the competition of multiple offer situations are once again actively searching.  All this is great news for both Sellers and Buyers of waterfront property.
