The Frontenacs’

Welcome to the Frontenac region!

The area stretches from Lake Ontario north at Kingston through the Lake District to the border of the Madawaska Highlands. The region is three hours east of Toronto and 1.5 hours west of Ottawa accessed by Highway #7 or by exiting Highway #401 at Highway #38 heading north.

A journey through cottage country evokes childhood memories of summer camps and lakes where we first learned to swim. Recent price tags in Ontario’s vacation heartland have ballooned, making them practically unreachable for the average family. Eastern Ontario in the Frontenac area still offers affordable waterfront opportunities in close proximity to major centers. The lakes are well monitored by property associations and the Ministry of Natural Resources to ensure that the pristine conditions are protected.

Visit our four-season outdoor playground, snow and ice adventures, maple syrup making, fishing, hiking, white water canoeing, fall touring, hunting, bird watching, astronomy or just escape to something a little quieter. There are plenty of opportunities for you to photograph the staggering beauty you see. Come to the Frontenac region for the cottage or waterfront home of your dreams. Let us help you find that special place where your smartphone doesn’t matter anymore!
